Surprisingly this is our first post about Petra. We’ve covered quite a bit of the rest of Jordan as you’ve probably seen, but I felt it was time to post something about Petra, especially as tourism to the site continues to grow month over month. The world famous Nabatean city of Petra is, of course, the biggest single draw to Jordan, and rightly so as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This makes Petra a must-see for anyone traveling to the Middle East let alone just to Jordan.
A major perk to living in Washington, DC is its proximity to beautiful countryside in surrounding Maryland and Virginia. This always makes for perfect weekend getaways! At the tail-end of summer, we were in search of a getaway to round off the season and what better way to do that than with a couples trip into the Virginia countryside.
Mid last year, a friend and I (Carrie) hiked the iconic Preikestolen (popularly known as Pulpit Rock) in southwestern Norway. I travel to Oslo at least once a year for work and am determined to use these trips to see as much of Norway as I can.
